DC Ramban reviews implementation of employment, Beneficiary-Oriented Schemes

Ramban | :  Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan Tuesday chaired a meeting of district officers to review the implementation of employment and Beneficiary-Oriented Schemes in the district.

The meeting was attended by CPO Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, ACD Mohammad Ashfaq, GM DIC Ravinder Anand and officers from key departments including Health, Education, Labour, Employment, Social Welfare, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, ICDS, JPDCL, EDI, Municipal Council and others.

The Deputy Commissioner laid emphasis on the saturation of schemes such as PMAY-G, PMAY-U, MGNREGA, HADP, Mission YUVA, ABHA ID, PM Surya Ghar – Muft Bijli Yojna, scholarships, pensions, ICDS, Social Welfare Schemes, Agriculture and Horticulture programs, Livestock Development initiatives, Rural Livelihoods Mission, skill development and self-employment initiatives. He directed officers to work in mission mode to ensure that benefits reach all eligible beneficiaries in a hassle-free manner. He also reviewed the functioning of Education and other departments.

Stressing on public outreach, accountability and field monitoring, the DC instructed officers to expedite pending cases, and intensify awareness campaigns at the grassroots level. He directed departments to work in close coordination and adopt proactive measures to maximize coverage under various schemes.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the Chief Education Officer to update the data on UDISE attendance system for proper monitoring and to launch a vibrant enrolment drive by mobilizing teachers to ensure that no single child in the district remains out of school. He further instructed departments to jointly organize awareness programmes to sensitize people about the welfare schemes and submit regular progress reports for effective monitoring and evaluation.

The meeting also deliberated on challenges faced by departments in implementation of the self-employment and Beneficiary Oriented Schemes and measures to resolve the same.
