Dulloo calls for preserving memory of 1947 sacrifices; warns strict action against rotten meat sellers in J&K
Srinagar: During the observance of Partition Horrors Remembrance Day-2025 in Srinagar, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo emphasized the profound suffering and sacrifices experienced during the 1947 partition of India.
Talking to reporters here in Srinagar Dulloo highlighted that this day serves as a crucial reminder of the heavy toll paid for independence and the necessity of passing these memories to future generations. Dulloo recounted the tragic consequences of partition, including the separation of families and the loss of countless lives, underscoring the importance of remembering these events. In addition to the remembrance activities, Dulloo announced that all preparations for Independence Day celebrations across Jammu and Kashmir have been finalized, with events planned in every district. He also addressed public health concerns, warning against the sale of spoiled meat in the region and assuring that strict actions would be taken against offenders as directed by the Chief Minister. The event included an exhibition of historical photographs to honor the millions affected by displacement and violence during the partition.
