Committee on Subordinate Legislation meets in Srinagar

Panel discusses fair land compensation, rehabilitation & mutations

Srinagar | : The Committee on Subordinate Legislation Tuesday convened a meeting at the Assembly Complex in Srinagar to examine and review the rules and regulations framed by the Revenue Department.

The meeting was chaired by Committee Chairman, Hasnain Masoodi and attended by members including Reyaz Ahmad Khan, Shabir Ahmad Kullay, Hilal Akbar Lone, Satish Kumar Sharma and Rajeev Kumar.

The Committee conducted a detailed examination of various rules, sub-rules, regulations and bye-laws of the Revenue Department. An in-depth discussion was held on issues pertaining to fair land compensation, rehabilitation of affected persons and the process of mutations.

Chairman Hasnain Masoodi emphasized the importance of land laws in ensuring justice and equity, reaffirming the Committee’s commitment towards safeguarding the public welfare. He urged members to contribute constructively towards the betterment of all sections of society.

During the meeting, members shared valuable suggestions and raised pertinent issues within the Committee’s jurisdiction, reiterating their resolve to uphold transparency and accountability in subordinate legislation.
