Srinagar: Two Army soldiers were killed and several others injured during an ongoing encounter with terrorists in the Akhal forests of Kulgam district, South Kashmir. The incident, which has now entered its ninth day, involved a heavy exchange of fire late Friday night, during which terrorists launched a grenade attack. The fallen soldiers, L/Nk Pritpal Singh and Sep Harminder Singh, were honored by the Chinar Corps, which expressed condolences and highlighted their bravery and dedication. The operation, initiated on August 1 following intelligence reports of terrorist presence, has seen one terrorist killed and 11 security personnel injured.
