MP Khatana Lauds PM for India’s Economic Resurgence, Global Growth Milestones
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterWhatsappTelegramEmail

New Delhi | : Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Gulam Ali Khatana praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for guiding India towards sustained economic growth, citing recent economic indicators as evidence of effective leadership.

In a statement issued here on Thursday Khatana referenced the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) updated report, which projects India’s growth for FY26 at 6.4% and an increase for FY27, attributing this to favorable external conditions and strong internal reforms. Khatana highlighted India’s advancements in global trade and manufacturing, particularly noting the significant achievement of surpassing China in smartphone exports to the U.S., with a remarkable 240% increase in manufacturing output. He pointed out that inflation has reached a six-year low, while job stability and trade have remained consistent as India approaches FY26 with a solid economic foundation. Additionally, he emphasized the 17-year high in India’s private sector manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) and the substantial growth in pharmaceutical exports, which have reached $30.5 billion, driven by complex generics and a proactive global expansion strategy. Khatana also said that these accomplishments reflect the robustness of India’s economic fundamentals and the ambitious reforms implemented under Modi’s leadership, positioning India as a potential global hub for manufacturing and innovation.
