Udhampur: District Administration Udhampur convened a condolence meeting Saturday to mourn the tragic and untimely demise of JKAS Officer Rajinder Singh Rana and his son, who lost their lives in a devastating landslide incident that occurred late yesterday evening in the Dharmari area of Reasi District. The Officer was serving as Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ramnagar.
The meeting was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai and attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh, officers of and staff members of line departments.
Expressing profound grief and shock, the Deputy Commissioner paid heartfelt tribute to the departed officer and his son. She extended deepest sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls. The DC recalled Rajinder Singh Rana as an upright, dedicated and sincere officer who earned the admiration and respect of all through his commitment, hard work and unwavering devotion to duty.
The condolence meet resonated with emotional tributes, as colleagues and staff members shared their fond memories of working with the late officer. They described him as a capable and brilliant officer whose sudden demise is an irreparable loss not only to the District Administration but also to the entire officer fraternity.
As a mark of respect, a two-minute silence was observed by all present. Prayers were offered for the eternal peace of the departed souls and expressions of support and solidarity were conveyed to the bereaved family. The officers assured all possible assistance to help the family endure this immense loss

Reasi : In a solemn tribute, the officers and officials of District Administration Reasi, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik observed a two-minute silence Saturday in memory of Rajinder Singh (JKAS), Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Ramnagar and his son, who lost their lives in a tragic incident last night.
Rajinder Singh, a native of Reasi district, was known for his unwavering commitment to public service, humility, and integrity. His untimely demise has left a deep void in the administrative fraternity and among the citizens he diligently served.
The condolence meeting was held at the DC Office Complex, Reasi, where officials gathered to pay their heartfelt homage.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik expressed profound grief and extended her deepest condolences to the bereaved family. She highlighted the remarkable service of the late officer and called the incident a tremendous loss to the entire administrative community.
District Administration Reasi stands in solidarity with the family during this hour of grief and prays for eternal peace to the departed souls.

DIPR condoles tragic demise of SDM Ramnagar, son
Srinagar : The Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) held a condolence meeting Saturday to mourn the untimely death of Rajinder Singh, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Ramnagar, and his son, who tragically lost their lives in a landslide incident on Friday.
Held under the chairmanship of Director DIPR, Nitish Rajora, the meeting expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and conveyed deep sympathies during this hour of grief.
The Director and other officers prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and strength for the family to bear this irreparable loss.
The gathering also wished a speedy recovery to the wife and other family members of the late SDM, who were injured in the mishap.
