KVK hosts Live Webcasting of PM’s prog
Kathua: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kathua Saturday organised the live webcasting of the release of 20th installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Sammelan 2025.
The programme witnessed participation of over 120 stakeholders including progressive farmers, farm women, PRI members and officials from Agriculture and allied departments.
DDC Chairman Kathua, Col. (Retd) Mahan Singh presided over the event along with Additional District Development Commissioner Surinder Mohan.
Interacting with farmers, the DDC Chairman appreciated the Government’s welfare initiatives for farmers and stressed on developing specialised agri-clusters for enhanced productivity. He also lauded the role of KVK in promoting modern farming techniques and sustainable agriculture.
Earlier, the Chief Scientist and Head KVK Kathua Vishal Mahajan welcomed the guests and highlighted the centre’s role in entrepreneurship promotion through success stories in mushroom cultivation, value addition, dairy and piggery.
Chief Agriculture Officer, Jatinder Kumar. He informed that nearly 60,000 farmers in the district have benefitted under PM-KISAN.
Later, progressive farmers and farm women were felicitated with Certificates of Appreciation by the DDC Chairman.
