Samba | : As a part of the 5th Anniversary celebration of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 Government Higher Secondary School Ghagwal marked the day three of festivities with an array of vibrant sports events to promote physical well-being, team spirit among the students in alignment with NEP 2020’s vision.
The event was inaugurated by the Chief Education Officer Kewal Krishan, who graced the occasion as the chief guest. He inaugurated the event by tossing the coin for a volleyball match.
Multiple sports competitions were organized, including Track Races, Volleyball and traditional games which witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across all grades. The school grounds echoed with cheers and team spirit as students demonstrated their athletic talents and competitive zeal. Teachers, staff members and students played an integral role in organizing and coordinating the events, making the celebration a true reflection of community spirit and educational reform.
The CEO encouraged the students for playing the traditional games like Stappu, Santolia, Gulli- Danda, Baraha-taan etc. He emphasized the significance of games and sports and urged the players to play the games with discipline by saying “Play the Game and Play it well”.
The third day of NEP 2020 celebration concluded on a high note, with prize distribution to winners and a vote of thanks extended by the Principal and ZEO to all who contributed to the success of the event.
