Jammu| : The Government Gandhi Memorial (GGM) Science College in Jammu organized an Awareness Session as part of the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme (VBYCP) to inform students about various government initiatives aimed at empowering youth and shaping India’s future. The session was led by Dr. Ravika Arora, under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, the college principal. The event highlighted several key government schemes focused on youth skilling and development, including the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 4.0, NIPUN Bharat Mission, National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS), and PM Internship Programs. Additionally, it covered research and innovation opportunities such as the INSPIRE program, DRDO Scholarship for Girls, and various fellowships and startup initiatives. Prof. Gupta emphasized the significant role of India’s youth in shaping the nation’s future, encouraging them to dream big and develop skills that contribute to a self-reliant India. Dr. Arora reinforced the importance of awareness as a first step toward empowerment, urging students to take advantage of the available opportunities and become active participants in India’s transformation. The session concluded with an interactive segment, allowing students to engage with the speakers and learn more about how to benefit from these initiatives.
