‘Manhunt launched to nab accused drive’
Jammu : Jammu Police have seized a Mahindra Thar involved in an attempted murder case in the Gandhi Nagar area, where the driver, identified as Manan Aanad, allegedly struck an elderly pedestrian and fled the scene.
The incident, captured on CCTV, has raised significant concerns regarding road safety and reckless driving in the region. Superintendent of Police Ajay Sharma stated that the driver’s actions indicated malicious intent, leading to the classification of the case as an attempt to murder. The elderly victim is currently receiving treatment at Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu, with his condition reported as critical due to a head injury. The police are treating the case with urgency, utilizing CCTV footage and witness statements to locate the suspect.
