Union Ministers honour Veer Naris, NoK

Drass : The 26th Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations concluded on Friday with a vibrant cultural program in Drass, honoring the valor and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces. The event showcased powerful patriotic songs, a traditional Yak Dance, and a spectacular drone show, emphasizing India’s advancements in air surveillance and defense capabilities.
The Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh L. Mandaviya, served as the Chief Guest, accompanied by Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth, and Lieutenant General Hitesh Bhalla, GOC 14 Corps. They were joined by senior Army officials, Veer Naris, and family members of Kargil War martyrs. In a respectful ceremony, both ministers honored the Veer Naris and families of fallen soldiers, underscoring the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by these heroes. MoS Defence Sanjay Seth articulated that paying tribute to martyrs is a national duty, emphasizing their sacrifice for the nation’s future. Seth also highlighted the successful conclusion of Operation Sindoor, reflecting India’s growing global stature and military strength. He noted that the world recognizes the strength of a New India, which is increasingly focused on exporting rather than importing. The evening culminated in a Vijay Bhoj (Victory Feast), where soldiers, families of martyrs, and citizens united in a poignant display of remembrance and national pride. This grand finale served as a powerful reminder of the bravery of India’s armed forces and the enduring bond they share with the citizens they protect, blending tradition, innovation, and heartfelt gratitude in a moving tribute.
