Jammu: An Agniveer soldier tragically lost his life, and two others sustained injuries due to a landmine explosion in the Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district.
Reports reaching here said that the incident occurred during a routine patrol when the soldiers inadvertently stepped on a landmine. The deceased soldier, identified as Agniveer Lalit Kumar of the 7 JAT Regiment, was honored by the Army’s White Knight Corps, which expressed its condolences and solidarity with his family in a post on X. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha also paid tribute to Agniveer Lalit Kumar, acknowledging his ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation. He extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, emphasizing that the nation stands united with them during this difficult time.
