Kupwara | : In a concerted effort to accelerate developmental progress and ensure timely execution of infrastructure projects, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan Wednesday undertook an extensive tour of Handwara sub-division to review various ongoing developmental works.
During the visit, DC inspected the ongoing construction of High School Building Batpora Magam and construction of additional accommodation for HSS Magam and directed the concerned engineers to speed up the pace of work and ensure completion of the projects within the stipulated time frame. She also inspected the ongoing development of Handwara-Magam road.
DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Handwara, Javid Naseem Masoodi, CPO, Tehsildar Handwara and Executive Engineers of R&B and PMGSY.
She also took stock of the Jaggerpora Water Supply Scheme and Kawari WSS and enquired from the concerned engineers about the status of the scheme. She directed them to ensure the completion of the projects to facilitate the people of these areas with clean drinking water supply.
Later, DC chaired a meeting with concerned officers during which a threadbare discussion was held to ensure timely completion of the developmental projects in the Handwara sub-division.
During the tour, DC interacted with a large number of people who apprised her about their day to day developmental issues and she assured for time-bound redressal of their genuine issues.
