Awantipora | : The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) is set to host the finale of the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Program (VBYCP) on July 24, 2025, as part of the national initiative Viksit Bharat@2047. This program emphasizes the crucial role of youth in India’s development journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047. Prof. Shakil Ahmad Romshoo, Vice-Chancellor of IUST, highlighted that VBYCP serves as a transformative platform for empowering youth to engage in constructive dialogue, enhance leadership skills, and actively participate in nation-building. IUST is dedicated to aligning its academic and outreach efforts with the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, aiming to cultivate responsible and innovative citizens equipped to tackle future challenges. In the lead-up to the finale, a week-long series of pre-event activities included a registration drive on the MY Bharat portal, promoting volunteerism and civic engagement among students. The activities featured thematic lectures, debates, skill-building sessions, a Youth Parliament, and cultural programs focused on themes such as Nasha Mukt Bharat, all designed to prepare for the concluding events. The final event will include a special session of ‘Yuva Samvad’ and a felicitation ceremony for winners of various competitions, including debates and the youth parliament. The event will be attended by Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha who will also engage with the youth participants.
