Srinagar | : Police on Tuesday said that it has solved a theft case by arresting three accused involved in the commission of crime here in Budgam district.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said the Police Station Charar-i-Sharief on receiving a written complaint from one Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, a site technician with Altus Company about an attempted theft at a Jio Reliance tower site in Kakawring registered a case under FIR No. 46/2025, and subsequently initiated an investigation. Stating that occurrence of multiple thefts at tower sites within the Charar-i-Sharief sub-division came to the fore during the course of investigation Police in its statement further said that several suspects were interrogated led to the confession of involvement by two suspects in the Kakawring incident and another theft at a tower site in Hanjura village. Police in its statement further said that on the disclosures of the said accused police recovered eight stolen tower batteries from the suspects, adding therein that the arrested individuals were identified as Gulzar Ahmad Ganie, Mohammad Rafi Khan, and Mohd Shafi Dar who were subsequently transferred to Police Station Chadoora in connection with FIR No. 120/2025. In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police reiterated its commitment to enhance vigilance and efforts to prevent criminal activities in the area to further the causes of public safety and the rule of law.
