DC directs officer to increase participation, involvement of Scouts & Guides
Kulgam | : A district-level meeting on Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG) was held Tuesday under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan in his office chamber, here.
During the meeting, Secretary BSG gave a brief about the activities of the Bharat Scouts and Guides in Kulgam.
DC, who is also the ex-officio President of the Bharat Scouts and Guides in the district spoke about the importance and the key role that scouts and guides can play, and passed on directions to increase the participation and involvement of Scouts and Guides in the district.
He also instructed to launch membership drives, and to encourage more and more students and youth to become Scouts and Guides.
It was further directed that regular meetings will be conducted on a quarterly basis to ensure the smooth functioning and expansion of scouting activities in the district.
Kulgam district will also organize a district-level Scouts and Guides camp next month to promote discipline, leadership, and youth engagement.
The meeting held a threadbare discussion regarding the calendar activities and strengthening the BSG at district level.
The meeting was attended by ADC Kulgam, ASP Kulgam, Dy CEO, and a representative from DYSSO, along with members of Bharat Scouts and Guides Kulgam.
