Mission Shakti, JKRLM host free health camp at Halqa Marh Jammu

250 women avail free medical consultation by doctors from SMVIME & SMVD Narayana Hospital

Jammu | :  Mission Shakti District Hub for empowerment of Women Department of Social Welfare, in collaboration with Shri Mata Vaishno Institute of Medical Excellence & SMVD Narayana Hospital Katra,   and JKRLM organised a Free Health Checkup Camp here at Village Halqa, Marh.

The camp catered to Self Help Group (SHG) members and local villagers, reflecting Mission Shakti’s consistent efforts to promote health and well-being in rural areas.

The health camp was inaugurated by SDM Marh Athar Amin, who appreciated the initiative and encouraged such outreach programs to ensure accessible healthcare for all. The medical team included Dr. Akash Narangyal (Orthopedic Specialist), Dr. Faizy Gul (Gynecologist), and Dr. Kritika (Ophthalmologist).

Around 250 women were examined during the camp. In addition to health consultations, free onspot Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure tests were conducted, and free medicines were provided to the beneficiaries.

District Mission Coordinator Mission Shakti Shagun Manchanda, addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of regular health check-ups and informed healthcare choices, especially for women and rural communities. She also shared that Mission Shakti has organised several successful health camps in the past with SMVDIME & SMVD Narayana Superspeciality Hospital and this is part of their ongoing commitment to community welfare.

Deputy Administrator Officer of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Sunil Choudhary, Sonali Rana DHEW Mission Shakti and staff of JKRLM were also present and actively participated in coordinating the event.

The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Block Program Manager Marh Shruti Uppal, who extended her gratitude to the Mission Shakti team, the Narayana Hospital medical team, and the local villagers for their enthusiastic participation and cooperation.

The impactful initiative once again reflects Mission Shakti’s dedication to grassroots health awareness, women’s empowerment and inclusive community development.
