Says “ “We are working tirelessly to upgrade facilities at all J&K shrines.”
Srinagar | : Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson J&K Waqf Board and Minister of State on Saturday visited the Barah Sadaat Shrine in Tailbal to assess upcoming upgradation projects.
During her visit the Waqf Board Chief paid respects at the shrine and engaged with local community members, gathering their suggestions for infrastructure improvements. Accompanied by Waqf Board officials and engineers, she evaluated the feasibility of proposed developmental works. The local community expressed gratitude for Andrabi’s previous initiatives and voiced their support for the Board’s efforts. She emphasized the importance of prioritizing the shrine’s upgradation project to ensure timely commencement of work. In her address to the gathering, Andrabi highlighted the significance of the Sufi spiritual legacy as a societal strength and reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to enhancing facilities at shrines across Jammu and Kashmir. She called for collective efforts to promote Sufi thought, underscoring the renewed focus on Sufi centers in the region. Prominent members of the civil society, including Ali Mohammad Kutoo and Molvi Naseer Ahmad Makhdoomi, were present during the visit.
