Srinagar : Nalin Prabhat, the Director General J&K Police on Saturday held a hybrid Security Review meet on security formations attended by top functionaries of J&K Police, Army, and multiple paramilitary forces.
The meeting, held at the Zonal Police Headquarters in Srinagar, included key military leaders such as Lt Gen Prashant Srivastava and Lt Gen Rajan Sharawat, along with representatives from various security agencies. The primary focus was on the ongoing Amarnath Yatra and the current security landscape in the region. During the review, officers provided insights into the security challenges faced in J&K, leading to a comprehensive assessment of the situation. The DGP highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts among all agencies to maintain peace and security. He emphasized the role of the Army and other forces in establishing a strong counter-infiltration grid and supporting civil authorities in sensitive areas, particularly in securing Yatra convoys and enhancing area dominance. The DGP called upon the officers to ensure close synergy and real-time coordination to effectively address any emerging security threats. Addressing the top meet the DGP commended the professionalism and commitment of all personnel, particularly in challenging environments, and encouraged innovative approaches to adapt to evolving security dynamics.
