Bandipora : Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo chaired a review meeting with the Bandipora district administration to evaluate ongoing development projects and the status of Centrally Sponsored and UT Sector schemes. The meeting, held at the Mini Secretariat Bandipora, included key officials such as the Deputy Commissioner and the SSP of Bandipora. The Deputy Commissioner provided a comprehensive overview of the district’s development across various sectors, including health, education, power, tourism, agriculture, rural development, and water supply.
Addressing the top meeting Chief Secretary Dulloo emphasized the need for mission-mode implementation of schemes in critical departments such as Power, Education, Health, Agriculture, Horticulture, and Tourism. He urged officials to expedite infrastructure projects to enhance the quality of life for residents and highlighted the importance of effectively executing Centrally and UT Sponsored Schemes, including the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and healthcare initiatives. During the meeting, Dulloo laid the foundation for several significant projects valued at ₹805 lakh, which included a 100-bedded ST/G&B hostel and a district veterinary hospital. The Chief Secretary was also briefed on the District Capex Plan for 2025–26, which allocates ₹41 crore for various development works, covering multiple grants and projects across different sectors. The Deputy Commissioner raised concerns regarding the need for improved human resources and infrastructure at the District Hospital Bandipora and the road widening of the Sumbal–Bandipora stretch. Dulloo called for better coordination among departments, timely submission of pending estimates, and proactive measures to address execution challenges, particularly in remote areas. He stressed the significance of community involvement and adherence to transparency, quality control, and public accountability in project execution. Following the meeting, Dulloo engaged with various delegations, including civil societies and youth groups, assuring them of prompt attention to their grievances and developmental issues. The day concluded with an inspection of departmental stalls set up for the occasion, attended by various officials from multiple sectors.
