Unprecedented number of Amarnath yatris is a salute to PM and J&K security forces: BJP’s Chugh

Jammu |  : BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Thursday slammed Congress party for its sudden interest in Jammu & Kashmir’s statehood, labeling it as a political maneuver lacking sincerity. He accused Congress of perpetuating a history of boycott politics, dynastic governance, and appeasement of separatists in the region.

In a statement issued here on Thursday Chugh emphasized that only Prime Minister Narendra Modi has genuinely delivered justice and development to the people of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, asserting that democratic processes have been fully reinstated. Chugh dismissed Congress’s recent letter to the Prime Minister as a superficial act, pointing out that the same leaders who opposed the abrogation of Article 370 are now feigning concern for statehood. He assured that full statehood would be restored at the appropriate time, reinforcing Modi’s commitment as a firm promise rather than mere rhetoric. He also condemned the Congress-NC-PDP alliance for their past failures, stating that they had turned Jammu & Kashmir into a hub of corruption and separatism. In discussing the recent encounter with Jaish commander Haider, Chugh hailed it as a significant victory for Indian security forces, highlighting Haider’s status as a notorious terrorist. He reiterated the government’s strong stance against terrorism, asserting that Pakistan-sponsored terror is being systematically eliminated and that every terrorist will face justice. Chugh conveyed a message of resilience, stating that India will not back down but will respond decisively to threats. Concluding his remarks, Chugh expressed optimism about achieving lasting peace in Jammu & Kashmir, crediting the support of the people and the bravery of security forces for the progress being made against terrorism. He indicated that the network of terror is weakening, suggesting that this is only the beginning of a new era for the region
