Srinagar | : Police on Saturday said that it has attached immovable properties worth 3.2 crore belonging to three terrorists operating from PoK involved in case FIR No. 48/2009 under section 13 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, registered at Police Station Kheerbawani here in Ganderbal.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that properties of three individuals—Farooq Ahmad Rather, Noor Mohammad Parray, and Mohammad Maqbool Sofi—have been attached as part of a legal process initiated by the Court of Additional Sessions Judge, designated under the NIA Act. Stating that a total of 9 Kanals and 01½ Marlas of land have been seized following due legal procedures, Police in its statement further said that action is part of the ongoing efforts by the police to combat activities that threaten the sovereignty and integrity of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police reiterated its commitment to a zero-tolerance against terrorism and those who support such activities, Stating therein further that Police is committed to ensure peace, public safety, and security throughout the district.
