NC MLA Says, “Era of Development Has Begun”
Srinagar | : In a significant development initiative for the Zadibal constituency, MLA Tanvir Sadiqhas allocated ₹300 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for essential projects.
The funding is intended to foster inclusive growth and enhance infrastructure throughout the constituency, ensuring that all areas and demographics benefit from the development efforts. The allocated funds will support the upgradation of key locations, including Alamgiri Bazar, Rainawari Chowk, MK Chowk, Dargah Hazratbal, and Soura Chowk. Additionally, the plan encompasses the construction and renovation of community halls, the development of sports facilities for youth, and improvements to local infrastructure such as lanes, drains, and water pipelines. Financial assistance will also be provided for housing construction aimed at economically weaker sections of the community. The initiative places a strong emphasis on beautifying and developing the surroundings of various religious and heritage sites, including Dargah Hazratbal and several other significant locations. Special attention will be given to the residents of Mir Behri Dal and nearby areas to enhance basic civic amenities and resolve longstanding issues. The Heritage Naidyar Bridge is also slated for renovation. Sadiq highlighted the introduction of a new digital system that allows MLAs to upload development projects onto an official portal, streamlining the process and reducing paperwork. This innovation facilitates quicker tender issuance and enables prompt execution of urgent works by relevant departments. He expressed appreciation to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for increasing the CDF allocation to ₹4 crore and ensuring its timely release. Reaffirming his commitment to transparent and sustained development, Sadiq stated that all projects will be executed in a phased manner, ensuring timely completion and a tangible impact on the community.
