Srinagar | : Police in Baramulla, under the supervision of SHO Police Station Boniyar, organized a drug awareness program at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Boniyar.
The initiative aimed to educate students about various social evils, particularly the devastating effects of drug abuse. Prominent speakers at the event included SHO Police Station Boniyar, Mr. Mohd Ashraf, Uzma Qureshi from PDDC Baramulla, Principal GHSS Boniyar Showkat Ahmad Sherwani and Azhar, Lecturer at GHSS. They addressed the students and emphasized the ill effects of drug addiction, the importance of informed and responsible citizenship and the need for collective efforts to combat this growing menace.
The speakers encouraged students to remain vigilant and to actively contribute to spreading awareness within their communities, highlighting the critical role youth can play in shaping a drug-free society. In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police reiterated its commitment to to eradicate drug abuse and safeguard the future of youth through continued awareness and outreach programs.
