New Delhi: Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh hosted a luncheon for Delhi-based officers from the Jammu & Kashmir cadre, now part of the AGMUT cadre, fostering professional bonding and nostalgia among attendees. The event, a continuation of Dr. Singh’s initiative to promote unity among officers, allowed participants to reminisce about their service in J&K and emphasized the importance of personal connections in enhancing professional collaboration. During his address, Dr. Singh highlighted the careers of various officers, reflecting on their journeys from initial postings in J&K to senior leadership roles. He recalled a significant initiative from 2014, encouraging senior officers to revisit their first districts to evaluate developmental progress, which he noted fostered a sense of continuity in public service. He underscored the strategic importance of Jammu & Kashmir in national development, citing key projects such as the Chenab Bridge and the Purple Revolution in lavender farming, which are empowering local youth. The gathering also provided a platform for officers to share experiences and concerns, with Dr. Singh emphasizing the value of accessible leadership that listens to feedback.
