Srinagar/July, 3: Gulshan Ara, the mother of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, has been admitted at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) in Srinagar after breakdownin her health conditions.
Officials at SKIMS said that Mehbooba Mufti’s mother Gulshan Ara was brought to SKIMS Thursday morning and has since been under continuous medical supervision. Though details about her ailment have not been officially disclosed, offocials at the hospital said that her condition is being closely monitored by a team of specialists in the ICU.
A senior PDP leader said, that Mehbooba Mufti ’s mother has been hospitalized at SKIMS and appealed people to pray for her speedy recovery.
Sources in the PDP said that Mehbooba Mufti, who was in Delhi in connection with some political engagements, has suspended her engagements and is flying back to Srinagar to be with her ailing mother. Party functionaries and family members have already reached the hospital.
