4 drivers arrested for illegal extraction & transportation of minerals in Kulgam, 4 vehicles also seized

Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has four vehicles and also arrested of four suspects for being involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that operation carried out by the Incharge Police Post Mirbazar established a checkpoint at Akhran and confiscated two tippers and two tractors used in the illegal activities, which were linked to the extraction from Nallah Vaishow. Stating that a case was registered under FIR No. 134/2025 at Police Station Qazigund besides initiating further investigations presently underway Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement appealed people to share with it information regarding any illegal mineral-related activities in their areas and sought involvement of people in addressing such issues and ensuring timely action against offenders.
