Srinagar : On Thursday, police announced the attachment of immovable property belonging to a drug peddler under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The property, a single-storey residential house owned by Azad Ali Khan from Kehribal Ranbirpora Mattan, was seized due to his repeated offenses related to drug trafficking. Khan has been implicated in multiple NDPS cases, including FIRs from 2013, 2017, and 2022. The police stated that the property was identified as illegally acquired through illicit drug activities during an investigation by Mattan Police. Khan had previously been detained under the PIT-NDPS Act and was recently released. The police emphasized their commitment to creating a drug-free society and indicated that such actions against drug-related activities would continue with increased intensity. They also encouraged the public to provide information regarding drug peddling to aid in their efforts to eliminate drug-related issues in the district.
