DC Srinagar reviews progress in implementation of HADP, other schemes of Agriculture Production Deptt in the Distt

Srinagar : In order to review the progress of various sectors under Holistic Agriculture Development Prog(HADP) in the Distt, a meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex here Thursday.
Besides, Additional Distt Development Commissioner, Rifat Aftab and Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, the meeting was attended by Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Distt Sheep Husbandry Officer, Distt Sericulture Officer, AD Director Fisheries, Srinagar and other concerned
At the outset, Deputy Commissioner was given a brief appraisal on the progress under HADP by the respective Deptts in the Distt aimed to increase productivity, strengthening value addition chains, development of allied sectors like fisheries, floriculture and sericulture and improving farmer outreach.
On the occasion, the DC instructed all the stakeholder Deptts to compile a comprehensive data of all registered farm operating families in the distt as per the laid down guidelines under the scheme. He stressed on adapting structured framework for tracking and managing the progress of various projects within the HADP.
The DC asked Officers to implement the scheme with focus on HADP performance metrics to track and evaluate the progress and effectiveness of the prog to achieve saturation under HADP to achieve holistic & sustainable agricultural development.
The DC directed the concerned Officers to intensify efforts to bridge the existing gaps and ensure maximum coverage of eligible farmers under the HADP in Srinagar Distt. He asked the Deptts to lay emphasis on streamlining the application and verification processes to avoid delays in benefit disbursement.
The DC also underscored the inter-departmental coordination, field level monitoring and farmer engagement to achieve holistic and sustainable agricultural development. He urged all deptts to work collaboratively to ensure effective implementation of the prog across the distt.
