Srinagar: Khyber Cement celebrated Lavender Day with a deep-rooted belief that industrial progress must go hand in hand with environmental responsibility. Held amidst the fertile lavender fields around its factory, the event was a vibrant gathering that reflected the brand’s unwavering commitment to sustainable practices and community enrichment in Kashmir.
Set against the backdrop of blooming lavender, the day had a festive energy, with students, local villagers, and dignitaries coming together to participate in this annual celebration. The Lavender Park, developed and nurtured by Khyber Cement, stood as a symbol of harmony between industry and ecology, while also offering a space of pride and joy for the community. Continuing the success of last year’s edition, the event welcomed esteemed dignitaries,
including Abhijeet Joshi (SFS), Regional Director, Kashmir, J& K Pollution Control Committee, and Hameeda Akhtar, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Srinagar. Also present were Mr Fiaz Ahmad, District Officer, Srinagar, J&K with other senior officials from the Floriculture Department, Pollution Control Committee & Industries Department.
