MLA Tral stresses on ensuring 100% saturation of all welfare schemes in tribal areas

Pulwama : Continuing its outreach under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), Distt administration Pulwama Wednesday organised a mega awareness and benefit saturation camp at Gulistan Tral to bring essential services and individual entitlements directly to the doorsteps of tribal communities, in line with the campaign’s vision of inclusive development.
The camp saw large participation from tribal residents, including men, women, youth and elderly citizens, who were provided on-the-spot services and scheme-related assistance by multiple government Deptts.
The camp was also attended by the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Tral, Rafiq Ahmad Naik. On the occasion, he interacted with the locals, listened to their concerns and assured them of continued support.
Addressing the gathering, he said the government is fully committed to the upliftment of tribal communities and stressed the need for ensuring 100% saturation of all welfare schemes in tribal areas. He also distributed Ayushman Bharat Cards, Birth Certificates and other certificates among the beneficiaries.
Deptts including Health, Education, Social Welfare, Rural Development, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal & Sheep Husbandry, Forest, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, and others had set up dedicated stalls at the venue. They provided real-time registration for schemes, Aadhaar updates, awareness sessions, and distribution of brochures and IEC material to help people better understand available services.
A special health camp was also conducted by the Health Deptt where doctors and paramedics provided basic medical checkups, consultations, and sickle cell screening. The health team also spread awareness about water-borne diseases, personal hygiene, and safe drinking practices.
To promote digital access, a Common Services Centre (CSC) was set up to help with enrolments, document updates, and scholarship registrations.
DAJGUA campaign will continue with similar events planned across the tribal areas of the Distt to ensure holistic upliftment of tribal communities by saturating govt. schemes and welfare measures.
