Upon arrival, Jain received a ceremonial guard of honour and inspected the battalions’ main offices, where he emphasized the need for full implementation of the e-office system to improve efficiency and transparency. During the visit, Jain conducted a comprehensive inspection of various facilities, including ration stores, messes, equipment stores, and barracks. He also reviewed the Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) designated for the upcoming Sh. Amarnath Yatra 2025, receiving a briefing on their deployment plan and equipment. Jain urged the MRT personnel to perform their duties with high standards due to the critical nature of their assignment. Additionally, the functioning of the Bharat Petroleum Gas Agency managed by the police was evaluated, with discussions on sales, supply, and profitability leading to instructions for improved operations. Jain inspected a refresher training course for female personnel, encouraging them to voice any grievances, which were noted for further action. A darbar was held at the battalion auditorium, where Commandant Border 2nd Battalion, Arif Amin Shah, and Commanding Officer of Women 2nd Battalion, Bisma Qazi, provided detailed presentations on their respective battalions’ manpower, infrastructure, and deployment. In his address, Jain commended the personnel for their dedication and highlighted the importance of awareness against cyber fraud, sharing essential precautions to enhance their digital security.
