Srinagar: A one-day awareness workshop under the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme was successfully organized by the Area Marketing Office, District Nodal Office PMFME Srinagar, at Rambirgarh, Panzinara.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of aspiring entrepreneurs, potential beneficiaries, and representatives from various government departments. The primary objective of the workshop was to generate awareness about the PMFME scheme, which aims to support individuals and groups in setting up new units within the food processing sector.
Mohammad Shafi Rather, District Nodal Officer PMFME, and Bashir Ahmad Wani, Assistant Grading and Marketing Officer, delivered comprehensive presentations outlining the scheme’s objectives, key features, and wide-ranging benefits. Officials from allied departments including Sheep Husbandry, Horticulture, and Agriculture also participated actively, with valuable inputs provided by the District Resource Person.
The awareness campaign under PMFME is being conducted across the district to ensure eligible individuals, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), cooperatives, and other organized entities are well-informed and empowered to take advantage of the scheme’s offerings.
