DC Kupwara chairs DLAMC meeting, reviews enrolment progress

Kupwara : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan Friday chaired a meeting of the District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee (DLAMC) here to review the current status and progress of Aadhaar enrolment and updation across the district.
During the meeting, DC emphasized the significant role Aadhaar plays in streamlining public service delivery and ensuring direct benefit transfers reach the intended beneficiaries.
She directed all concerned departments to intensify enrolment drives, particularly targeting children (0–5 years), senior citizens and people living in far flung border areas of the district including Keran, Machill, Tangdar and other areas.
She also directed them to conduct special camps in these border areas to cover the left-out people under Aadhaar enrollment and updation. She also directed for conducting Aadhaar enrollment drives in all schools to cover the left-out children.
To ensure hassle free Aadhaar services at doorsteps of the people, DC directed the concerned to widen the circle of the Aadhaar Enrollment Centers across the district, besides, making all the existing centres functional . She asked them to ensure widespread dissemination of the IEC material so that people can know about the procedure for self updation of Aadhaar data through Aadhaar website and mAadhaar app.
To ensure the accuracy of the Aadhaar database at district level, CPO was directed to ensure that the Aadhaar details are properly mapped and confirmed.
Earlier, State Project Manager UIDAI J&K, Shoaib Khan briefed the chair through a detailed powerpoint presentation about the latest progress reports of Aadhaar enrollment and updation in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADC Kupwara, Programme Officer ICDS, ACR, CMO, CPO, AD FCS&CA, DSEO, DPEO, representative from UIDAI, District Coordinator CSC Kupwara and other concerned.
