DC Kishtwar calls for mission-mode implementation of HADP & credit linked schemes

DC pitches for organic farming, promotion of millets cultivation

Kishtwar : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pankaj Kumar Sharma Tuesday chaired a meeting to assess the progress achieved in the implementation of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and the Credit Link Schemes.
At the outset, Nodal Officer HADP & Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO) Kushal Chandail presented a detailed report outlining the achievements and current implementation status of HADP initiatives across the district.
The DC emphasized the need for accelerated execution and wider public outreach, directing field officers to redouble their efforts.
Underlining the importance of organic farming and its potential as a revenue-generating model, the DC instructed officials to organise mass awareness campaigns and engage with the community including religious heads of all communities to promote HADP schemes with a cluster-based approach.
The review also covered the physical and financial progress in key allied sectors such as Horticulture, Fisheries, Sheep Husbandry and Animal Husbandry.
The DC set new targets and urged line departments to work in coordination to ensure Kishtwar district ranks among the top-performing districts in the J&K under HADP.
He also set targets for enhanced registrations on Daksh Kisan Portal and Kisan Sathi Portal and directed focused awareness on millets promotion as part of the CAPEX 2025-26 action plan.
Further, a detailed review of Credit Link Schemes was undertaken including Agricultural Infrastructure Fund (AIF), Animal Husbandry Development Fund (AHDF), Agriculture Loan Fund (ALF), PMFME and National Livestock Mission (NLM). The DC emphasized a holistic and mission-mode approach to increase uptake and impact.
The meeting was attended by Rishi Kumar Sharma GM DIC Kishtwar, Idrees Lone ACR Kishtwar, Shahnawaz Bali CPO Kishtwar, Kushal Chandail CAO Kishtwar, Sajid Mustafa CHO Kishtwar, DSHO Kishtwar, LDM Kishtwar, DAO Kishtwar and other allied Sectoral officers.
