Ahmedabad, New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi today condoled the loss of numerous lives in the tragic Ahmedabad airplane crash and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families, acknowledging the immense pain and loss they are enduring.
According to a statement issued by PIB Srinagar PM Modi on Friday visited the crash site in Ahmedabad to assess the situation firsthand. He met with officials and emergency response teams working tirelessly in the aftermath of the disaster.
In separate posts on X, PM Modi said: “We are all devastated by the air tragedy in Ahmedabad. The loss of so many lives in such a sudden and heartbreaking manner is beyond words. Condolences to all the bereaved families. We understand their pain and also know that the void left behind will be felt for years to come. Om Shanti.”
“Visited the crash site in Ahmedabad today. The scene of devastation is saddening. Met officials and teams working tirelessly in the aftermath. Our thoughts remain with those who lost their loved ones in this unimaginable tragedy,” he wrote.
Prime Minister Modi during his visit to Ahmedabad met those injured in the aftermath, including the lone survivor, and assured them of the nation’s unwavering support during this difficult time.
PM also chaired a review meeting at Ahmedabad Airport with top authorities to assess the ongoing relief and recovery efforts.
In separate posts on X, PM Modi stated: “Met those injured in the aftermath of the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad, including the lone survivor and assured them that we are with them and their families in this tough time. The entire nation is praying for their speedy recovery.”
“Chaired a review meeting at Ahmedabad Airport with top authorities,” he added.
Pertinently, the deadly Boeing 787-8 crashed on Thursday, claiming the lives of 241 people, including 12 crew members onboard. The aircraft, operating from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, plunged into a residential complex near B J Medical College immediately after take-off from the airport
