DC Kupwara reviews preparation for ‘Int’l Yoga Day’

Kupwara : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan Friday chaired a meeting of concerned officers at D.C Office here to review the preparations for celebration of ‘International Day of Yoga’ being observed on June 21.
On the occasion, DC impressed upon all the officers to work in coordination for smooth and successful celebration of the International Day of Yoga. She directed the line departments to make all necessary arrangements well in advance at the sites where mega yoga sessions will be held to commemorate the day.
The meeting was informed that the main function will be held at Government Degree College Boys Kupwara where a large number of people are expected to participate in the event. Besides, mega events will also be held in Government Degree Colleges, Schools, Arogya Mandirs, Amrit Sarovars and tourist locations across the district for celebration of ‘International Day of Yoga’.
DC directed the stakeholder departments to work in a coordinated manner to ensure all the necessary arrangements well in time for successful conduct of the Yoga events.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mufti Fareed-ud-Din; ADC Handwara, Javaid Naseem Masoodi; ASP Kupwara, ASP Handwara, Principals of GDCs, ACD, CEO, District Officer Ayush, EO MC Kupwara, besides Officers from LBDDA, YS&S, BSNL and other concerned officials.
