DC G’bal reviews Medical preparedness for upcoming Amarnath Yatra

Ganderbal: In view of the upcoming Amarnath Yatra Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore Friday convened a meeting here at DC Office, Ganderbal to review the medical preparedness in the district.
During the meeting, Chief Medical Officer briefed the chair about the status of healthcare arrangements being put in place along the yatra route. This included the deployment of medical staff, availability of medicines, ambulances, oxygen booths, and accommodation infrastructure for medical personnel.
It was informed that adequate Base Hospitals, Medical Aid Camps, and Emergency Aid Centres have been established at identified locations, which are equipped with essential medical equipment, medicines, and trained medical and paramedical staff to ensure timely and efficient healthcare services during the Yatra period.
DC stressed the importance of ensuring complete readiness of all healthcare services well before the commencement of the Yatra.
