DC Samba reviews IEC activities under Dharti Aaba Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan

Samba: Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma Tuesday chaired a meeting to review and streamline Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities under the ambitious Dharti Aaba Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, being conducted from June 15 to June 30, 2025 in the district.
The Dharti Aaba Abhiyan is a nationwide initiative focused on the holistic development of tribal communities through awareness and saturation of flagship schemes.
In Samba district, the campaign will focus on two strategically selected villages of Rakh Barotian in Vijaypur Block being covered from June 15-22, 2025 and Bari Brahmana Village from June 23-30, 2025.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the critical importance of effective coordination among the line departments to ensure 100% saturation of key interventions.
The Programme Officer, ICDS (POSHAN) has been designated as the District Level Nodal Officer for the smooth conduct of the campaign.
The campaign encompasses a wide spectrum of developmental interventions including Pucca houses for homeless under PMAY-Gramin, water supply through Jal Jeevan Mission, road connectivity under PMGSY and electrification under RDSS.
The Health and wellness initiatives include deployment of mobile medical units, issuance of Ayushman Cards, establishment of Anganwadi centers and provision of health services through AYU
The program also envisages promotion of education and skill development through construction of hostels under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and skill development programs, digital initiatives. The economic empowerment measures include LPG connections, PM Kisan benefits, technical and financial support for livestock development, fisheries development and saturation of financial inclusion schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the departments to set up stalls at campaign venues to provide door-step services and awareness, maintain comprehensive records and photography, ensure geo-tagged documentation for portal uploading and submit saturation certificates upon program completion.
“The campaign aims to bridge the last-mile connectivity gap in service delivery, ensuring that every eligible tribal family receives entitled benefits directly at their doorstep” he stressed.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Committee (ADDC) Champa Devi Thakur, PO ICDS, CPO, SDM Vijaypur and district heads of various line departments.
