Anantnag : To strengthen the fight against substance abuse among youth, Youth Services & Sports (YSS) Anantnag, in collaboration with the Education department Anantnag, organized a series of activities Friday across various educational institutions in Anantnag district under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan.
Programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and community members. Activities included awareness rallies, interactive sessions, essay writing and debate competitions, and pledge-taking ceremonies held at Shaheed Humayun Muzamil GDC Boys Anantnag and GDC Mattan.
Aim of the campaign was to educate young people about the harmful effects of drug abuse on health and society, and to encourage them to become agents of change in their families and communities.
Special awareness sessions were conducted by experts, teachers and students, with real life stories and case studies shared to highlight the dangers of addiction.
District administration stressed the importance of community involvement and urged schools and colleges to continue awareness efforts and set up early intervention syste
More awareness programmes are scheduled on selected focus days to ensure ongoing public outreach and engagement under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan.
