Srinagar : Srinagar’s markets were bustling with shoppers on Arafah Day, the day before Eid-ul-Adha, as residents hurried to purchase essentials and festive items for tomorrow’s celebrations.
The lively atmosphere reflected the excitement and devotion marking one of the most significant festivals for the Muslim community.
A local shopper sharing his experience said that markets remained jam-packed today as everyone was busy buying last-minute essentials.
He said, “Eid is tomorrow and the festive spirit is everywhere. It is heart-warming to see families coming together and purchasing goods.”
Meanwhile, the authorities have stepped up arrangements to manage the crowd and ensure smooth movement in key market areas. Additional police personnel were deployed, and traffic diversions were also in place to avoid congestion
