Bandipora : In preparation for the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha festival, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, on Thursday conducted a comprehensive review of arrangements across the district to ensure a safe, smooth, and well-coordinated observance of the festival.
As part of the inspection, DC visited Eidgah Bandipora to assess on-ground preparations and inspect facilities being put in place for Eid prayers. He stressed the importance of maintaining cleanliness in and around the Eidgah, ensuring adequate public facilities, and prioritizing the safety and security of worshippers.
Accompanied by senior officers, DC was briefed on the arrangements made to facilitate a hassle-free experience for the public. He underscored the need for close coordination among departments particularly law enforcement, health services and municipal bodies to ensure all aspects of the celebrations are managed efficiently.
DC said that the district administration has made all necessary arrangements, including traffic regulation, sanitation drives and emergency medical services, to safeguard public convenience and well-being during the festivities.
During the visit, Qadri also interacted with members of the local Auqaf Committee and residents, seeking their cooperation in maintaining peace, harmony, and order. He appealed to the public to adhere to the guidelines issued by the administration for a peaceful and joyous celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr.
DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Zaffar Husson Shawl; Tehsildar Bandipora; Executive Officer MC Bandipora and other concerned officials.

Market checking conducted in Pulwama ahead of Eid-ul-Adha
Pulwama : In view of the forthcoming Eid-ul-Adha festival, a market checking drive was conducted Thursday across Pulwama to ensure the availability of quality goods, curb overpricing, and maintain overall market discipline during the festive season.
The drive was carried out on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr Basharat Qayoom.
During the drive, inspection teams checked various establishments including meat shops, bakeries, vegetable and fruit vendors, grocery stores, and other commercial outlets. The objective of the exercise was to verify proper rate display, ensure hygienic handling of food items, and prevent the sale of adulterated or expired products.

On the occasion, several shopkeepers were sensitized about the need to maintain cleanliness, display price lists prominently, and avoid any exploitation of consumers during the festive ru
Besides, perishable items found unfit for consumption were disposed-off on the spot and fines were also imposed on vendors for violating different provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act.
Meanwhile, authorities urged all vendors to adhere strictly to the prescribed guidelines to ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and public health safety and warned them of strict action against any malpractice.

DC B’gam holds review of preparations for Eid-ul-Adha
Budgam : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo along with SSP Budgam, Nikhil Borkar, Thursday convened a meeting of officers at the conference hall here to review arrangements put in place for the ensuing festival of Eid-ul-Adha.
During the meeting, DC directed officers of Jal Shakti and KPDCL to ensure smooth supply of water and electricity across the district. He also directed the Jal Shakti department to press water tankers in required areas and ensure no shortage of water at any place.
Officers from Sheep Husbandry informed the chair that adequate numbers of sacrificial animals are available in the district while maintaining quality.

ACD Budgam and Executive Officers of Municipal Committees were directed to ensure proper sanitation in towns, mosques, Eidgahs, and other key public places. Special cleanliness drives will be carried out across both urban and rural areas to ensure the timely and hygienic disposal of hides & other waste materials generated.
Instructions were passed by the DC to Food Safety department and others to constitute joint market checking teams to intensify market checking and check the quality of food items such as bakery, confectionery, milk, meat, chicken, vegetables, and other essentials in the market and ensure the availability of quality products.
He directed ADC, SDMs, Tehsildar to be extra vigilant and check if exorbitant rates are imposed on essential commodities during the festival.
Besides, ADC Budgam, SE Hydraulic circle Budgam, SE R&B Budgam, CMO, ACD, ACP, SDMs, Executive Engineer of all wings, Tehsildars and other district and sectoral officers attended the meeting.
