GCOE Srinagar organizes annual College Road Race-2025 for Men & Women

Srinagar : Department of Physical Education of Government College of Education (GCOE) M. A. Road, Srinagar organised the annual college road race for men and women category from SKICC to Nishat Garden here on Wednesday.
The event organized under the leadership of Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Seema Naz witnessed participation of around 60 athletes (Men/Women) across different programmes.
The race was flagged-off by the Convenor, College Sports Committee, Dr. Mohammad Yasin Pir in presence of other members from Sports Committee.
The closing ceremony for the event was conducted at Nishat, Srinagar during which the trophies and medals were distributed among the winners by the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Seema Naz.
In her address to the athletes, Dr Naz highlighted the importance of games and sports in the day to day life and encouraged students to participate in all future events also.
She also congratulated and appreciated the efforts of the Physical Education Department for the successful conduct of the event.
Later an award ceremony was conducted during which Hashim Nabi, UG/6th; Hyder Ali Mir, UG/2nd and M Junaid Dar, UG/2nd were adjudged winners in Mens Category
Asma of B.Ed/3rd; Sehla Jan, UG/4th and Aabirah Amin, UG/4th were declared winners in women category.
