Shopian: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone Monday reviewed the implementation of PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana in the district.
Experts gave a detailed briefing on the scheme’s benefits, subsidy process and application procedures.
Discussions focused on creating awareness among the public, simplifying registration and inspection processes and ensuring timely approvals.
Speaking on the occasion, ADDC urged all departments to work in close coordination and actively support the implementation of the scheme. He also called upon officials from departments and public representatives to spread awareness about the advantages of switching to rooftop solar energy.
PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana is a flagship initiative of the Government of India aimed at promoting rooftop solar installations in residential homes, offering attractive subsidies and providing upto 300 units of free electricity per month to beneficiaries.
