Doda : In a spirited initiative to raise awareness about environmental sustainability and mark the World Environment Day 2025, the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Doda, on Friday launched a grand campaign themed “Ending Plastic Pollution Globally.” The campaign commenced Friday with a Plog-Run organized across all Ten Education Zones of the District.
The event is being conducted under the overall guidance of Director General, Youth Services & Sports J&K, Rajinder Singh Tara and in coordination with the District Administration Doda led by Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh.
The campaign witnessed overwhelming participation from schools and educational institutions, reflecting a strong commitment among the youth towards environmental responsibility.
Students carried slogans such as “Say No to Plastic,” “Be Part of the Solution, Not the Pollution,” and “Clean Earth, Green Earth,” engaging with local communities en-route to educate them about the harmful effects of plastic pollution on ecosystem, health and future generations.

This extensive, multi-phase awareness drive by the Department of Youth Services and Sports Doda stands as a testament to the district’s unwavering commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development.
