Ganderbal : In view of the upcoming annual Mela Kheer Bhawani-2025, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, on Friday conducted an on-the-spot inspection of the arrangements being put in place at the Kheer Bhawani Temple, Tulmulla, to ensure smooth and hassle-free conduct of the religious festival.
Mela is scheduled to be held on June 3, on the auspicious occasion of Jyeshtha Ashtami, and is expected to witness the participation of a large number of devotees from across the country.
During his visit, DC inspected various arrangements related to accommodation, sanitation, logistics, security, and other basic amenities for the yatris. He took a round of the temple complex and issued on-spot directions to ensure that all necessary facilities are in place for the devotees paying obeisance at the holy shrine.
Emphasizing the importance of seamless coordination, DC directed all concerned departments to ensure the availability of essential services, and to establish a foolproof mechanism for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the festival.
Earlier, DC also visited the Central University Kashmir campus at Tulmulla, which has been designated as an accommodation site for devotees during the festival. He reviewed the arrangements made for night stay, including bedding, sanitation, sufficient toilet facilities, security, parking spaces and langar sites.
DC directed the officials to ensure that devotees are provided a safe, clean, and comfortable environment throughout their stay, with round-the-clock services in place.
With all arrangements being finalized, district administration reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a peaceful, organized and spiritually enriching celebration of the Kheer Bhawani Mela 2025.
DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Fahim Bihaqi; ACR Ganderbal, SE R&B, ACP, Executive Officer MC Ganderbal, and other senior officers.
