BGSBU Achieves 100% Placement in Key Engineering Deptts

Rajouri : The Training and Placement Cell of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri, organized a special event titled “The Career Launchpad” on May 28, 2025, to distribute job offer letters to 109 students who have secured placements in reputed Multi-National Companies (MNCs) and prestigious institutions during the academic session 2024–25. A major highlight of the event was the placement of 55 students in key roles such as Blockchain Engineers, Junior Software Developers, and Marketing Engineers at ASB Academy Mohali and Antier Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Mohali, Chandigarh. The remaining students have been placed in esteemed organizations including
The Hosteliers Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, Valeur Fabtex Pvt. Ltd., The Bloom, Srinagar, Reliance Jio, and RJ Solar, Noida (UP). Notably, 100% placement was achieved in five departments: Computer Science and Engineering, IT Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Information Technology (PG). In his message, Vice Chancellor Prof. Jawaid Iqbal expressed immense pride in the students’ accomplishments and stated, “This achievement is a reflection of the university’s growing academic excellence and industry relevance. The remarkable placement record for this year is a testament to our commitment to student success and employability. I congratulate all the placed students and thank the Training and Placement Cell for its vision, consistency, and dedication. We remain committed to equipping our students with the skills and opportunities they need to thrive in a competitive world.”
The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Malik Mubashar Hassan, Convener, Training and Placement Cell, who highlighted recent achievements and acknowledged the efforts of Mr. Zakir Hussain Malik, Section Officer, Training and Placement Cell, for his pivotal role in facilitating the placements. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. A.A. Shah, Dean of Students, lauded the Training and Placement Cell for its vibrant and dynamic approach. He conveyed the appreciation of Vice Chancellor Prof. Jawaid Iqbal and Registrar Abhishek Sharma, IAS, for the Cell’s outstanding performance during the 2024–25 academic session. He remarked that “placement is the index of an institution’s success, and the Training and Placement Cell is its most vital department. He further added that such commendable efforts of Training and Placement Cell will serve as a magnet to attract new students to BGSBU.
The event was attended by Mr. Mohammad Ishaq, Controller of Examinations; Dr. Shams Kamal Anjum, Associate Dean, School of Humanities and Languages; Dr. Shafqat Mughal, Principal Polytechnic; Ms. Shabina Nazir, Deputy Registrar Academics; Dr. Arif Tasleem, Head, Department of Botany; Dr. Majahid Hussain, Head, Department of Physics and Faculty Placement Coordinators and Cell Members Dr. Aadil Laway, Dr. Ankita Runani, Dr. Ed Gowher, Mr. Junaid Farooq War, Dr. Manmeet Singh, and Dr. Shahnawaz Choudhary, along with Heads and Coordinators of various departments.
