Srinagar : The University of Kashmir (KU) proudly joined hands with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) in the successful conduct of the nationwide youth pledge event titled “Yuva Shakti, Bharat Ki Shakti – One Youth, One Nation, One Resolve” on 28th May 2025 at 11:00 A.M.
At Kashmir University hundreds of students gathered to take the National Youth Pledge, inspired by the ideals of Atmanirbhar Bharat, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, and the inclusive vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi . From the northern region of Bharat, the students of the University of Kashmir joined the national moment of unity by participating in the “Yuva Shakti, Bharat Ki Shakti” pledge. More than a ceremonial act, this gathering was a heartfelt declaration that the youth of the region stand in full resolve with the rest of the nation. Through this collective voice, the University of Kashmir affirmed that patriotism knows no borders, and that every region, every campus, and every student is an equal stakeholder in the making of a united, self-reliant, and inclusive Bharat. The pledge was led by Vice-Chancellor KU, Prof. Nilofer Khan, and was preceded by a cultural invocation and addresses by Registrar KU, Prof. Naseer Iqbal, and Prof. Pervez Ahmad, Dean Students’ Welfare KU.
Prof. Khan, while taking the pledge, said: “The strength of our nation lies in the unity and dedication of its youth. Initiatives like this reaffirm our commitment to a vibrant and inclusive Bharat.” This event was a living and pronounced message of inclusivity, unity in diversity, and youth empowerment, echoing the call for a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
