DC Shopian inspects ongoing works under RDD&PR schemes in Imam Sahib

Shopian: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta on Saturday conducted an extensive tour of block Imam Sahib to inspect various ongoing developmental works being undertaken by the Department of RDD&PR under different flagship schemes.
During the visit, DC reviewed the progress of multiple works on the ground and took a detailed assessment of the functioning and performance of RDD&PR.
The inspection covered several panchayats including KM Gund, Baskuchan and Urpara B.
While interacting with the workers engaged in MGNREGA works across these halqas, DC emphasized the need for execution of tangible and durable assets that would serve long-term public utility.
He also checked the online attendance system and reviewed geo-tagged photographic evidence of works being executed. Field staff was directed to ensure timely and transparent uploading of attendance and work progress on the MGNREGA Soft portal.
DC also inspected Panchayat Ghars and CSCs in different halqas and took stock of the infrastructural works underway there. He reiterated the importance of creating community-centric and resilient assets under rural development schemes.
DC was accompanied by ADC Shopian, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz; ACD Shopian, BDO Imamsahib and other senior officials of the department.
