Shopian: As part of its continued efforts to empower local entrepreneurs and promote inclusive industrial development, District Industries Centre (DIC) Shopian organized an awareness programme under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) initiative Thursday at the Block Veterinary Office, Keller.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 75 individuals representing diverse sectors including Handicrafts, Handloom, NRLM Self-Help Groups, MSMEs and local business units/traders.
The focus of the event was to educate participants about the importance of Udyam Registration and the benefits it offers for formalizing and growing micro, small, and medium enterprises.
Key officials in attendance included the Officers from DIC Shopian as well as representatives from various line departments/stakeholders. They highlighted various central and state-sponsored schemes available for entrepreneurs and underscored the importance of institutional support for enterprise development.
The comprehensive workshop was organised to explain the Udyam Registration process, including eligibility, documentation and advantages such as improved access to finance, market linkages and government subsidies.
In their addresses, officers encouraged participants to take full advantage of government initiatives and reassured them of DIC Shopian’s continuous support in guiding and facilitating their entrepreneurial journeys.
The event concluded with an interactive session, where participants shared their queries and received hands-on guidance from the officials. The session reaffirmed DIC Shopian’s commitment to fostering a robust MSME ecosystem and empowering grassroots entrepreneurs in remote areas like Keller.
